"As the winter approaches, you can reduce the threat of burglary by installing passive infra-red lighting outside your home and using timer switches attached to lamps inside" is the message from Inspector Sue Sanderson from Ilkley Neighbourhood Police Team, "a home with lights on is a deterrent to thieves".
