Scouting in Menston

Scouting is about learning new skills, having adventures and making friends. In fact we count all 28 million Scouts worldwide and the 400,000 Scouts in the UK as our friends.

We're the third section of Scouting, after Beavers (6-8), Cubs (8-10 1/2) and before Explorers(14-18), and these days we take girls as well as boys. We meet on Thursday evenings at 19.30.

The difference between ourselves and single interest or sports clubs is that our aim is solely to develop the potential of young people, to teach them self reliance, how to get on with others, how to cope with new situations. We do this by giving them plenty to do and plenty to think about, with a programme which is a balance of games, learning and practicing skills, and having as many adventures as we can cram in. We have lots of trips out and plenty of time outdoors.

We have a waiting list but you can fill out the attached form to register your interest and we'll contact you.

Scouting is an equal opportunities organisation and every child has the right to have an adventure.
