Planning rule changes from 1st October 2008

Are you thinking of making changes to your property?  Do you want to add a conservatory, put down some decking, add a dormer, build an extension, add a garage, put up a fence or a gate or any other changes for that matter?

If so you may not be aware that new planning rules came in to play on 1st October.  Cllr Chris Greaves made residents aware of the broad changes at the recent Neighbourhood Forum.

However, as usual Bradford Council and the Government have done their best to bury this important information deep within their websites.  The Government has also wrapped it up in impenetrable jargon that probably means little the man on the street, for instance what is a "Planning Portal"?

Here we give you a link to get straight to the heart of what it is all about.  Simply click here to go to a document that explains where you need planning permission.
