Local Bus Services

First Group and others provide a wide variety of services to Leeds, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Bradford, Guiseley, Wetherby, Otley, and llkley, with connections to Skipton and, during summer months, to the Dales Villages. These services are along Bradford Road with some diverting into Menston via Bingley Road, Main Street, St. Peter's Way, Cleasby Road and Station Road (or vice versa). There is also an infrequent minibus to Bradford via Hawksworth, Esholt, Baildon and Shipley using the scenic route.

'Your next bus'

A method of finding out how long the next bus will be. At each bus stop the sign has a number with five digits. Using a mobile telephone, send a text message to 63876, including only the prefix 450 and the five digits on the sign. There will be an immediate reply. The cost of the message is about 12p.

* Under 14's travel at half-fare.
* 14-19 year olds still in fulltime education can travel half-fare with a pass.
* Senior citizens' (60+) permit allows concessionary travel during specified periods.
* Metro passes, valid only for travel in West Yorkshire, are available at post offices or bus and rail enquiry offices.

There are no rail services but a connecting bus service runs between Menston and Otley Bus Station.
