LBIA Airport Issues

Actions following concerns raised at the Neighbourhood Forum in October 2008

Barry Brand's presentation at the above Forum made it clear that there were issues, arising from the operation of the Airport, which needed to be recognised and resolved to the benefit of the Menston Residents.

Menston Parish Council (PC) and Menston Community Association (CA) following this meeting immediately took steps to apply for membership of the LBIA Consultative Committee, which was granted later in October. The named representative being Alan Elsegood with Cllr Dale Smith acting as his Deputy.

Since that date Alan Elsegood has had a meeting with several of the Airport's Senior Management the summary of which is below.

Attached also are other documents including a letter sent to the CAA and a list of Issues that are currently being progressed by the PC and CA

It is planned that the Airport Management will be at the February 2009 Forum to answer some of the village concerns and also to respond to issues raised from the "floor".
