Tree Trail Guide

The Railway Garden on Station Road has been planted and the hedge has been laid. We think our efforts are starting to show and it should look great in the Spring.

In 2008 we are planning to create a Tree Trail Guide.  We need your help with this.  What we are looking for is anything interesting about trees in the village… Old trees, tall trees, historic trees, memorial trees, trees with a story, etc.  Please tell us what you know about our trees…For example - Does anyone know how old the Chestnut tree in Miss Porritt's field is? - We want the Tree Trail Guide to be interesting and educational - showing the features of different species of tree in each season…Any thoughts or help with this will be most welcome.

Menston in Bloom meets on the third Wednesday of the month at the Methodist Church Hall at 7.30pm. Please come along or phone Rosemary or Quentin Mackenzie with ideas on trees etc. on 876625
