Menston Art Club

Promotes the pursuit of art, its understanding and appreciation. Holds lectures, demonstrations, practical sessions and two annual exhibitions of members' work (entry free).  Kirklands, Mondays at 19.30 to 21.30

Kirklands Monday Retired Group

The above group which has been meeting for many years is a very popular and friendly group.  We meet on Monday afternoons at Kirklands to enjoy, as well as socialising, interesting speakers on a variety of subjects and slides on a variety of topics.  We always finish with a cup of tea (or coffee) and biscuits. Outings to various places, are also included on some Mondays.

Due to fire regulations membership is limited and at present we do, unfortunately, have a short waiting list but if any villager feels they would like to join us eventually I will be pleased to add names to the waiting list.  Please give me a ring, Carol Suddaby (secretary) 01943 876 231.

Menston Wednesday Retired Group

Promotes fellowship and interest through a wide variety of talks, some illustrated, outings and visits. Open to active retired local men and women. Kirklands, Wednesdays 14.00 to 16.00. Subscription £5 annually, 50p per attendance.

Menston Evening Townswomen's Guild

Provides a forum for discussion of diverse topics and interests. Activities include speakers, crafts, walks, visits, including those with a rural interest, theatre and eating out. Open to women of any age. Kirklands, 2nd Wednesday monthly at 19.30. Subscription £22 annually.

Menston Men's Forum

The Forum has two meetings before the Summer break on 7 and 21 May.  We then have a three month break and start again on 17 September with the A.G.M.
 
In the autumn we have four speakers booked on a variety of topics before the OPEN MEETING in the Main Hall, to which our wives and the widows of deceased members are welcomed, this will be on 3 December at 10.00 a.m.

We have gained four or five members in the past quarter, who have all enjoyed the meetings, but there is still room for a few more if you care to come along. We meet in Kirklands, room 17 on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.

Menston Parish Church Mothers' Union

Aims to promote and strengthen Christian marriage and family life through meetings, services and outreach into the community. Open to any baptised Christian. Parish Room, 1st Tuesday at 14.15, 3rd Tuesday at 19.45. Coffee served in Parish Room 1st Thursday at 10.00 and in the Methodist Hall every Tuesday at 10.00. Annual subscription £9.50. New members always welcome

Menston Methodist Women's Fellowship

Meetings offering friendship and fellowship through a simple divine service and speakers on various subjects. Open to all women.

Menstone Club Ltd, Farnley Road

Provides social and sporting activities for members and their guests and an annual village bonfire. There are two match snooker tables and separate bar facilities with TV. New members are welcome.

Fairfax Club, Main Street

Provides social and sporting activities for members and their guests, including licensed bar, sky sports, snooker, pool, darts, dominoes, bingo and live entertainment.  Membership is open to over 18s.  Open every evening and weekend lunchtimes.

Aims to improve the knowledge and interest in horticulture and gardening through talks, gardening visits and social functions. Open to all.
Kirklands, 3rd Thursday monthly at 19.30.
Subscription £4 per membership; guests are welcome at £1 per visit.
