Christmas tree recycling

02/01/2017

For the third year in a row, St. Gemma's Hospice is running a Christmas Tree Collection in partnership with Leeds City Council and Paragon Routing Optimisation to collect and recycle your Christmas Trees. St. Gemma's also relies on the generosity and support of local van hire companies to donate vans and over 100 volunteers to donate their time in order to make this collection as successful as possible; this year we hope to collect over 2,000 Christmas Trees and raise over £20,000 for patient care.

Due to resources and access to waste recycling sites, this collection is only available to residents in the following postcodes:
LS6, LS7, LS8. LS9, LS13, LS14, LS15, LS16, LS17, LS18, LS19, LS21, LS21, LS28, LS29.

It's really easy for you to benefit from this service, all we ask is that you make a voluntary donation to St. Gemma's Hospice, live in an eligible postcode and leave your Christmas Tree out for us to find (please take the decorations off it first!). Our aim is to save you the time and energy of trying to find somewhere to take your tree, save you the hassle of vacuuming all those needles from your car and also help save the environment.

The collection will be taking place between Monday 9th January and Friday 13th January 2017, we won’t give you a specific date and time unfortunately but please leave your tree out on the Sunday night and we will recycle it that week.
