Rotary Club of Otley Chevin

11/10/2016

The club regularly raises funds for various charities. As recently as March, members planted 140 saplings, donated by the Woodland Trust, with assistance from the Chevin Ranger, near to Chippindale Walk in Otley Deer Park.

For the seventh year in succession, every child who was leaving Year 6 at Menston Primary School was presented with a dictionary at the end of the summer term. The illustrated 'Dictionary 4 Life' was presented by members of the club. As part of the club's Community Service, the distribution of dictionaries is part of the ongoing commitment to education in the area. Even in this era of internet access, a dictionary is still useful.

Rotary meetings are held every Monday evening at the Chevin Country Park Hotel, with several members from Menston.
