Your library needs you!

Principal Libraries Officer: Operations

We are looking for people to volunteer to manage Menston Library from 1st April 2017, so a valuable community asset is retained and closure can be avoided. Bradford Council will provide support - paying the running costs (gas, electricity and water) and rates, and there will be a sum of money to support events and activities. Menston Library will remain part of the public library network and the books and computers will remain, with new books provided as now.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact Mandy Webb at mandy.webb@bradford.gov.uk who will send you an expression of interest form, On this form you can indicate how many hours you may wish to do and when, and also what voluntary role you may be interested in - children's story telling, supporting digital offers, promotion of stock and events etc - not an exhaustive list!

The Council carries out a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service - previously CRB) check on all volunteers, ensures they are fully trained and will offer remote support when Menston Library hopefully becomes volunteer managed.
