50th Anniversary

It all started in 1965 with a meeting in the village school when two groups were formed, an afternoon guild and an evening guild. Unfortunately, the afternoon guild closed some years ago but the evening one is still going strong with enthusiastic members and a variety of activities.

In May we are going for lunch to The Roebuck in Otley, and during the summer there are day trips to Nostell Priory and The Deep at Hull. These are in addition to our monthly meetings as follows:

10th June            'First Aid'        Vicky Hannam (St John's Ambulance)

8th July               'Windsor Castle Fire and Restoration'     Mr D Metcalfe

12th August        'Safari in Tanzania'           Mr David Alred

We meet in Kirklands at 7.30pm on the second Wednesday of the month. If you think that you would like to join us, please come to one of our meetings as a visitor or ring Margaret on 872677.

Why not ring her today? It could be one of the best things you ever do!
