Wharfedale Greenway consultation

A major public consultation is to take place into a proposed walking and cycling route of some five miles in length between Burley and Pool, linking Otley and Menston. This will mainly follow the route of the former railway line. At Menston, there will be two linking options available for consideration.

The public will be invited to view a touring exhibition at various venues along the route and to submit comments in writing. This consultation is being carried out by Sustrans for the local parish councils of Menston, Burley, Pool and Otley Town Council.

The touring exhibition will visit Menston Methodist Church on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 June, from 10am to 8pm. It will show the route through a series of maps. People will be able to make their written comments on an appropriate form.

The exhibition will also be in Pool, Burley and Otley on the following dates:

Pool, Village Hall: Monday 9 June 10am - 8pm

Burley, Queen's Hall: Tuesday 10 June 10am - 8pm and Wednesday 11 June 10am - 8pm

Otley, Core Resource Centre (next to bus station): Saturday 14 June 10am - 5pm and Monday 16 June 10am - 6.30pm

As an unmanned exhibition, the public can view the same information and also make written comments at the Otley Core Resource Centre on:

Tuesday 17 June 10am - 4pm

Wednesday 18 June 10am - 4pm

Thursday 19 June 10am - 8pm

Friday 20 June 10am - 8pm

Saturday 21 June 10am - 4pm
