Refuse and Recycling Collections

Wheelie-bins provided by the Council for general waste (emptied 2 weekly), glass, plastic and tins, and paper and cardboard (emptied 2 weekly) and brown bins for garden waste (available by subscription).  The bins are emptied from the kerbside. 

Bulky items Collected from home by phoning Cleansing Services General Enquiries 01274 431000  or request on-line via this link https://www.bradford.gov.uk/recycling-and-waste/bulky-waste/bulky-waste-collections/ There is a charge for this service.

Recycling bin for clean clothes and shoes for the Salvation Army.


Ellar Ghyll Disposal Site - available for use by Menston Bradford Council residents

Refuse disposal for general household and garden waste, but not trade waste. Recycling bins for a wide range of items including:

newspapers, cardboard, glass, wood, garden waste, scrap metal, white goods (fridges etc), car batteries, gas bottles, surplus paint, electrical goods, engine oil and fluorescent tubes.

Open daily November to March 09.00 to16.00, April to October 09.00 to 17.00
