Menston Thespians

Menston Thespians has been an integral part of the village for over 50 years with members of all ages creating and performing pantomimes, plays and musicals. New members are always welcome to join us! Whether you want to take to the stage, play in our band, design, build or paint sets, make costumes, direct, design and control the lighting or sound, take part in our front of house team, or just join us for our fantastic socials, we’ll welcome you with open arms. BTA Performance Academy

For ballet, tap, freestyle and body conditioning.

Classes are held at Kirklands on Tuesdays after school (grade 4 and over) and Saturday mornings (up to grade 3).

We follow the British Ballet Organisation syllabus, and each teacher holds a DBS.

We have a yearly show at the Alhambra Studio, and examinations are held throughout the year.

Fairfax Singers

 The Singers meet weekly to enjoy lively social contact, to sustain friendships and to make wonderful music. They provide choral entertainment to raise funds for charities and at a range of functions, singing in unison and in parts.

Rehearsals take place each Tuesday, 7.30-9.30pm, at St John Fisher and St Thomas More Catholic Church Hall, Burley-in-Wharfedale.

Ladies Please

Enjoy singing a wide variety of music from Schubert to Sondheim, Bach to Boogie, Mozart to McCartney. The group enjoys fun and laughter in honing musical talents and ability and is keen to sing for any church or charity engaged in fundraising in the district. Rehearsals 10 Fairfax Gardens, Thursdays all year 7.30pm. Open to all ladies interested in singing (ability to read music not essential).

Menston Methodist Drama Group

A long established society providing Drama in Church worship and an annual musical production in April in the Church or Church Hall. A welcome to join is extended to everyone from the village and surrounding area in an acting, singing, dancing or support role.
