Menston Community Library

Re-opening of Menston Community Library

Exciting news – a phased reopening of our library began on Monday 20th July.

Initially we can access physical books again through a new “Order and Collect” service.

All books will need to be pre-ordered. This can be done by:

Ringing 01943 876539

Or via the Bradford  Library Service website :

There will be a single collection point in the library foyer.  All other services inside the library including internet access and activities remain closed for the time being.

Books can also be returned at this point and there will be no fines for late returned books for the time being. Returned books will be subject to a period of quarantine before being made available again.

More details  can be viewed here

To keep us all safe we will have revised opening hours for returning and collecting books as follows:

Monday       10.30-12.00

Wednesday 10.30-12.00

Thursday     14.30-16.00

Jill and the team of volunteers look forward to welcoming you back!

If you have young children who are missing our story time sessions, every Friday at 10am a new online session will be added here:

During the period of lock-down it has been possible to access thousands of free e-books, e-audiobooks, e-magazines and e-newspapers and some other services online.

If you are not currently a member of the library, then that is not a problem. If you or someone you know would like to join they can do this online. Your library card number and PIN will be emailed to you. You can access the online joining form here:
