Menston Community Association

The next MCA meeting will be held at 7pm on Thursday, 12th May starting at 7pm in the Wharfe Room – first room on the right on the Ground Floor at Kirklands.

As usual this will be an opportunity for groups who are active in the village to share news and talk about topics of interest.

There will also be a guest speaker, Mr Helge Urdal, whose talk will be called ‘Towards Carbon Neutrality’ with a subtitle ‘Climate change action – what does it mean to get to Net Zero?’

This is the first meeting for a while and we intend to have further meetings in July and September, also with guest speakers.

Please come along and show your support for our community association.

The Menston Community Association (MCA) is a voluntary organisation with charitable status which acts as an 'umbrella organisation' for groups such as Menston in Bloom, Menston Business Association, the War Memorial Committee, Light Up Menston and Friends of Menston Park and coordinates interaction between these and other interest groups operating in the village.  During the lockdowns we have been supporting the Menston Helpline initiative, the Main Street consultation and helping the parish council with consultations regarding the improvements in the recreation ground.

All Menston residents over the age of 18 (from both Bradford and Leeds Council areas) are automatically members of the MCA and are welcome at our regular meetings.

Our Mission Statement:

To unite the village through community driven engagement, communications, events and experiences in order to enhance the wellbeing, inclusivity and amenities of the community for its residents.

Thank you for your time in reading this and we hope to see you at our future meetings.
